MMA Melaka 3rd Primary Care Symposium 2023: Sharing Practical Insights In Chronic Wound Management

On 10 July 2023, our advanced wound care team participated in the MMA Melaka 3rd Primary Care Symposium 2023, a medical symposium that brought together healthcare professionals and primary care practitioners to discuss current clinical practices, patient management strategies, and evolving healthcare challenges.

During the symposium, Dr. Sreedharan Muniandy was invited as a guest speaker to share practical clinical experiences in chronic wound management, with a focus on evidence-based approaches in managing chronic venous ulcers and difficult-to-heal wounds.

Practical Approaches In Chronic Wound Care

The clinical sharing session highlighted the importance of:

  • Early wound assessment and timely intervention
  • Proper infection control and wound bed preparation
  • Structured management strategies for chronic venous ulcers
  • Multidisciplinary care in improving wound healing outcomes
  • Reducing recurrence and complications associated with chronic wounds

Through case-based discussions and practical clinical sharing, the session provided valuable insights into improving wound healing outcomes and supporting better long-term patient care.
